149. Dachshund Lost in Storm Found


A miniature dachshund who went missing after a freak windstorm on July 21 has been found safe and is now happily back home.

The Edmonton Sun reported that Devin Schneider is delighted to have her back, although he says "She's pretty skinny".

The distraught owner had put up a reward of $1,000 for Charlie’s safe return, but the kind people who returned him refused to take the money. Wasn’t that sweet?

88. Still Poisoning Your Dachshund?

I’m back on my dog food soap box again. I cannot reiterate enough why you need to buy food for your dog that is fit for humans.

87. Another Dachshund Escapes a Truck

A week or two ago I reported a dachshund who escaped unharmed when a truck crashed into its owner’s fornt room. Now another one, this time a dachshund puppy also escaped death when a school bus crashed into a house.

What’s going on? Have motorists of large vehicles got something against dachshunds or something? Or are dachshunds just extremely lucky at avoiding serious injury?
