116. Dachshund Puppy

Is this the best picture to depict ‘Trust’ or what?!

And it wouldn’t be the same if the little fella didn’t have his tongue out a little bit either, would it?

I found it on my internet travels at this site:

where there are lots of interesting canine duo photos. Check them out!

115. Dachshund Pool Video

Here’s a nice video of Archie the doxie enjoying his pool. Watch it to the end – he doesn’t just go round and round, but even that’s cute to watch.

If the embed link doesn’t work, go here to watch the video:

55. Brits May Not Be Allowed To Snap Their Dachshunds

The UK government is trying to pass a law that will heavily restrict photography in public places. At the moment you can photograph anyone or any dog you like in a public place in Britain. No-one is given the right to privacy. But if the law is passed you will have to have an ID card to be allowed the same freedom.

I do not know who will be eligible for ID passes, but how would this affect tourists or parents, or amateur photographers or pet owners? And how would it even be policed what with inconspicuous devices such as camera cellphones?

One thing’s certain, my favourite dog photographers could not have taken most of their best work with such a law in place. I mean they’d never put a ban on oil painting, or sculpting!

25. Day Of The Dachshund

My two favorite dog photographers are Elliott Erwitt and Jim Dratfield. Elliott Erwitt is a legend and I believe the reason I was accepted onto my photography degree course, because he was one of the interviewing tutor’s favorites too! He’s an acclaimed documentary photographer of people and dogs all over the world. He’s photographed every dog breed including dachshunds, but he hasn’t produced a book solely on dachshunds.

Jim Dratfield has. He’s an excellent dog portrait photographer. You’ll love his book ‘Day Of The Dachshund’. Not only is he a great photographer, but the book is very well designed too. I also have his book ‘Underdogs’.

Check out Day Of The Dachshund Here.
